Tip of the Month

Our Handyman gives you his March Tip of the Month

MOLD / MILDEW REMOVAL
To remove mold and/or mildew from concrete, wood, or shingles, mix 50% water and 50% household bleach (For more difficult jobs, use pool chlorine instead of household bleach).

As always, SAFETY is #1. Remember your safety goggles and gloves:

#1 Simply brush on the solution or use a garden type pump-up sprayer to completely saturate the area(s).
#2 Let stand overnight.
#3 Rinse off entire area with garden hose or pressure washer. Be careful not to damage shingles by spraying under the bottom edges or into the dwelling (around doors and windows).

Be very careful as not to splash the solution. Remember to use safety equipment by wearing gloves, eye protection and old clothes.

*Note* Do not let bleach solution stand on any type of landscape; rinse immediately.

*If you need a service that is not listed above (within our service area),
please e-mail the handyman. Maybe we can help or refer someone.*
